About this Site
Welcome to theSunny.one! My name is Sunny, and this is my personal website. It is meant as an introduction to me, and to show a bit of my work. You'll certainly get a sense of my energy just from perusing this page. This site takes advantage of the following technologies built by incredible engineers:
- Next.JS (for straightforward Web Development!)
- React (for modular design!)
- Ramda (for a more functional flavor!)
- TailwindCSS (for a better design workflow and coherence!)
The site is fairly simple overall, though it has a variety of unique things. Just to share some of the major points:
- The site is open source!
- Dynamic Greeting
- The site can greet you by name (if you want; open the settings).
- The greeting text will also vary, depending on the hour the site is opened.
- Light/Dark Mode (click the rotating sun!)
- Adjustable level of detail in reviewing my personal projects/experience.
- The Random Sunny Fact Machine™.
- Footer with a random silly phrase.
- Various text in the page is generated dynamically based on the content.
- Email link opens mail client OR copies email address on right click.

Introducing... the random Sunny fact machine! It's quite simple. There are 21 facts present in its database right now. Just press the button and it will show you three facts at a time. Fortunately for everyone, it won't show you the same facts twice unless you press the reset button. And please—relax. There's no quiz. My wife made me remove it.

Music
I have played, composed, and dreamed through music for much of my life. I am blessed to be exploring the piano and improving my skills regularly. My interest in making music right now is purely for the joy of expression and learning, so I lack plans to formally organize the music at this time. Still—some have expressed interest in hearing my music, so I will provide a place to listen here.
Originally I intended to have a "Sunny Radio" built into this website... and then I realized how much bandwidth that might consume. Hobby hosting plans combine poorly with lots of bandwidth usage! Please consume (bandwidth) responsibly. 🧐
For now, I will link to two older EPs I recorded.
I wrote these under the musical moniker Brightnine (which I have since abandoned). Here is a link to the first EP, the Space EP, and another to the second, Songs to Burn to.
